Port Milwaukee is a founding member of Green Marine, an environmental certification program for the North American maritime industry. The program targets key environmental issues related to air, water, and soil protection, biodiversity, and beyond.
Port Milwaukee has maintained Green Marine certification for over 15 years. Each year, the Port completes an environmetal performance assessment. Upon external verification, individual results are posted. Since the program's innauguration in 2007, the Port has been committed to continous improvment amongst all categories.
